I am a dreamer with a very strong vision. It’s different from being dreamy, my head isn’t in the clouds, my eyes are on the horizon, I have clarity and purpose. I know who I am and I know exactly what direction I am headed, I just had to find my thing.. and I found it in the mountains, in a sleepy little town named West, a town where dreams were made, where my vision became clear and a road was forged.
I happened upon Pilates by chance, it was a serendipitous event. I had followed this dreamy guy from Mexico to Montana, 3 surfboards under my arm, a rose quartz crystal in my pocket and complete trust in whatever lay ahead.
I remember clearly my very first class. It was a lightbulb moment, I saw my future on the mat, I think it was a clam, maybe I was rolling like a ball, maybe it was in a swan, it could have been the mermaid or at the very end with a roll down exhalation. I was hooked from the start, in body, mind and spirit, I fell in love with Pilates and married the man of my dreams. Serendipity at its finest, my future converging on a mountain top, in a sleepy little town we called West.
That moment was years ago, back in 2005, or was is 6? I can never quite remember as the time goes by, the years have flown and I’m a grown up now, matured by the bodies I’ve taught, by the stories I’ve been told and by the lives I’ve been touched.
I’ve learnt a lot over the years. What I know more now than ever is that the knowledge I have gained needs to be shared, that the more I learn the more I don’t know and that curiosity keeps me passionate and open to new possibilities.
By doubting we are led to question. By questioning we arrive at the truth.
